The community food program is designed to provide nutritional services in an effort to reduce hunger and malnutrition among the low income residents in Montgomery County. Approximately 5,600 families benefitted from the Community Food Program.MCAC operates eight (8) neighborhood service center offices in the low-income neighborhoods throughout urban and rural Montgomery County. Our goal is to allow community residents to have a voice and take action to improve their neighborhoods. Neighborhood Policy Advisory Councils Representatives are selected to serve on the Agency’s Governing Board. Last year, 365 policy advisors received information from community service organizers and resource agencies; these were used to assist residents in their communities.
